Atomic Fish in Space Wall Art

A couple of weeks ago a friend from pilates told me about an op shop that I didn't know about. She took me there and as I walked in the door I saw my new love. I just had to have it. What do you think?  It is sooooooooo very 1960's. I just love the colours.  It has taken me until now to find the right place for it.   On the back it is numbered74/75.

  1. It's beautiful. Great colours. You need to find out about the artist...

  2. Thank you, I have done a bit of research on the artist, but can't find this paticular print. The artist is Tugomir Huberger, but I can't find out much about him. I'll keep looking though.

  3. His style has been copied from a french impressionist artist Paul Gombeaud whom once lived with a mauritian lady and her son (me) on the gold coast in the 90's. I grew up eating mazavaroo and archard.
Paul would now be in his 60's maybe early 70's. His work is in the entrance to the city counsel chambers at nerang, check it out and you'll agree.I happened to be making mazavaroo for my own blog today ( hesthebackyardchef.blogspot ) and came across your blog .I think what you have here is a Gombeaud ...anyway sounds crazy but I know the style I used to watch him paint, he's famous for this technique he pioneered called 'the broken line technique'. If not its a copy. Rob

  4. I knew Paul as a neighbour and friend and still hold several of his original oils. He gave me a number of his numbered lithos and they are still filed away.
