Did I mention, Lynwood Homestead is For Sale????

I love my life here at Lynwood Homestead and have for the past 20+ years.  For all of this time I have shared the property with my husband, my sister Diana, her husband and my niece.  Over the years we have had several other family members live with us, not in our homes but on the property in the Granny Flat. I have a lifetime of wonderful, happy, joyous memories, but due to changing circumstances, we are now selling.  I'm not sure what is harder, knowing that we will be leaving here (later rather than sooner would be good) or trying to find somewhere else to live that is anything close to what we have here.

  1. OMG!!! No WAY! Is it crazy that this news makes me want to cry?! For two reasons: 1. that you're having to sell your home of 20+ years, you must be heartbroken. I can't imagine selling such an amazing place. My second reason for wanting to cry is that I can't own it myself. I am seriously in LOVE with your home. Like I said in a past comment, it is positively divine. It sucks to know my dream home is up for sale and out of my reach. I know how crazy I must sound but I am heartbroken. :(

  2. OMG! you have just made me cry, really. That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said, what an incredible compliment. We know we have something special here and we'll be heartbroken (I am a bit already actually) when it does sell and we have to leave (I'm crying again). Thank you Karla for your kind words, you have inspired me to do more posting to record the rest of our time here, I have become a bit slack lately a bit disheartened, so thank you.

  3. Oh I am so sorry to make you cry. :( That was not my intention. I hope you do post more. I've gone through all the pictures in your Lynwood Homestead link as well as your Real Estate ad and I imagine you'd want as many more wonderful memories you can cram into the rest of your stay there, I know I would. I am sure it will be terribly hard to leave your little piece of heaven but find comfort in the memories you've shared with your loved ones there and think of the wonderful memories you'll allow another family and their loved ones to have there in the future. I hope the new owners appreciate the beauty of their new home.

  4. I'm so sorry to hear you have to sell your home. 20 years is a long time, especially in such a lovely place. :(

    Take care,
